Det är typ nånting vi ska redovisa sen, vet inte varför man gör sånna
här onödiga saker i skolan egentligen men men Misfits är bäst och jag kan
mycket om dom.

THE MISFITS

Misfits are a horror punk band that started in 1977.Misfits was created in the town of Lodi, New Jersey and led by singer Glenn Danzig, who later founded the band Samhain and Danzig. Misfits name is taken from Marilyn Monroe's film from 1961.When Glenn Danzig left the group in 1983, Misfits split and Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein started their own band Push the Conqueror.After a few years, however, the brothers Jerry and Doyle started Misfits again and took Michale Graves on vocals for the band.Misfits released during Graves' time in the band several albums.Graves left the band in 2000. In 2003 released the album Project 50's who was an anniversary album with guest drummer Marky Ramone to the lineup.

From its inception, the Misfits music were including more screaming than singing. Their music was aggressive, confrontational and dangerous with violent lyrics as seen through the eyes of a monster, coupled with timeless vocal melodies bred from 1950’s rock and roll. Immortalizing black and white B horror films in their music, misfits developed a totally unique style, from their handmade musical weapons to the stiletto hairstyle they called the “devil locks.” It was the early days of punk and they had created a rebellion all their own.

Today bands across the spectrum of rock have covered the band’s material, for example, Guns ‘n Roses with the classic Misfits song "Attitude", My Chemical Romance who revisited the song “Astro Zombies” for the soundtrack to “Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland” video game, Hatebreed with their song “Hate Breeders” and Metallica who covered three Misfits songs on their double CD set "Garage Days Revisited".

The most popular songs according to me is Dig up her bones, Halloween, Scream and Hybrid moments.
